13 July, Monday - I received an sms from LY's son requesting all support group members to not visit LY and restricting visits to family members only as they wanted to maintain peace and quiet around LY.
This morning, around 10am, I called LY's son and was told that LY was not as responsive as before. Then, slightly after 6pm, I received an sms from LY's son informing support members that she had passed away in the afternoon. I hope she left with peace of mind.
I called M and was told that J had also passed away yesterday and her funeral would be early tomorrow morning.
I hadn't known J that well and had only met her once at NCC when I was with M. I had not not been to see J and had only been receiving updates from M, and hadn't expected her end to be so near.
It's upsetting enough for me, but more so for M who had been running around giving moral support to many members of the support group, to be hit by news that several members are seriously ill one after another, and now suddenly two are gone. Although we were mentally preparing ourselves for this ending, it is still tough, very tough, when they happened all at the same time.
I won't be seeing J off, but I hope to be able to rush to LY's wake tomorrow morning before the coffin is closed at 8.30am.
