Progress report

3 July 2009, Friday, as usual I was at the ayurvedic master's for my weekly medicine.

I asked about my progress and my condition at the moment. He had previously told me that my cancer is 'okay already'. So we (meaning all involved) have managed to get rid of the cancer for now.

Previously the AM has been repairing my liver and he said it's about 70% done, but he has now switched over to my kidneys. He said that he cannot repair my liver 100% without working on my kidneys, otherwise my kidneys will suffer, meaning that my kidneys will not be able to get rid of the waste fast enough and will fail. So, when my kidneys have been repaired to a certain stage, he will switch back to my liver again, alternating between the liver and kidneys until they are working satisfactorily.

While he is working on my kidneys, I noticed that my lymphedemic right arm has become softer, i.e. there is less pressure on the skin of my right arm, and sometimes red dots appear all over my right arm, which he explained as the toxins being expelled. These normally lasted about a day or two and there was no itching.

I look forward to the day when he can tell me that I am 'promoted' from weekly to once a fortnight medication, which will also be easier on my pocket. I really shouldn't be complaining, but after one and a half years of the herbal brews, the smell and taste are sort of getting to me. Fortunately, so far, I have been able to stomach them well. Although, sometimes after I have swallowed the herbal brew and a burp comes up, then I do need to reach for stuff to get rid of the aftertaste.

Chinese herbal brews are boiled in water which is more tolerable. The AM uses milk to boil his herbs and every pot is stuffed full of herbs and the result is one bowl of thick concoction.

Really, we try our darnest best to keep the stuff down, because it doesn't come cheap.

When my cousin's daughter she took her first dose, everything came back up and into the container. My cousin said she told her daughter to drink it up again, which she flatly refused.

In addition to the weekly herbal brews, everyday I am also taking some black paste which is concocted from more than 70 herbs and some unmentionables, which I found out by chance. Well, so far I have not suffered any adverse effects and I don't remind myself when I swallow the stuff everyday, but now, I do need to add a little honey to it to make it more tolerable.
